Raja Suran and the Kingdom of China

A Tale from the Malay Annals

10 December 2025, Wednesday
Lewin Terrace, Fort Canning Park
Admission: $30 per parent-child pair ($10 per additional child)

Join us for an enchanting storytelling session inspired by the legendary Malay Annals! Discover how a mighty Indian king's quest to conquer China leads him to Temasek (Singapore), where an ingenious Chinese ruse involving elderly sailors, lychee trees, and rusty needles changes the course of history.

This captivating tale celebrates the triumph of wisdom over warfare and clever strategy over brute force. Enjoy hands-on activities including learning how to cook pengat (a traditional dessert) and a colouring activity using natural dyes in this session!
