“Sing me an Extraordinary Song” tells the story of the composer of Singapore’s national anthem, Zubir Said. His story is brought to life with narration by Siti Khalijah (Actress & theatre practitioner), artefact images from the National Heritage Board and National Archives’ collection as well as images republished with permission from the family of Zubir Said. Students will also be able to hear a short snippet of Zubir Said’s interview.

Designed for Primary school students, this video is available in English and Malay to support classroom learning. We hope children will read, reflect and embrace Zubir Said’s values and aspirations.
