Intagible Cultural Heritage Mentorship Programme
Through a structured curriculum, the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Mentorship Programme facilitates knowledge transmission from practitioners of ICH to youths. It aims to connect interested youths with skilled mentors, mould the next generation of ICH practitioners, provide them with exposure to showcase their craft, and preserve the practice of the craft. It also aims to create a network of young practitioners, among whom they can find mutual support and potential synergies with.
Each iteration of the programme focuses on an ICH craft, and culminates in a mentees’ showcase.
Dari Rantau Ke Rumah
MHC’s Dari Rantau Ke Rumah Public Engagement Series brings together academics and community partners to explore the history, arts, and cultural heritage of the Malay Archipelago through selected artefacts in the museum’s permanent galleries. Building on the galleries’ core themes, the series provides a more nuanced exploration through curated talks that delves deeper into the themes, objects, and stories that shape its galleries — tracing the movements, connections, and inheritances that define Malay identity in Singapore and the wider region.
