Join us in our first-ever overnight session, Santai Sampai Pagi (Chill till the morning), and explore Malay heritage through a range of fun and cool programmes! With hands-on activities, film screenings, and after-hours gallery tours, audiences are invited to connect with the tales that existed from before and reflect on the stories that shape Kampung Gelam and the Singapore Malays.

Join our drop-in sepak takraw kicking challenge! Test your skills and see how many consecutive kicks you can achieve whilst keeping the rattan ball airborne. Challenge your friends to discover who can record the highest number of kicks. No experience necessary, perfect for staying active during Santai Sampai Pagi!

Join Orang Laut SG in a Dangkung dance workshop at Santai Sampai Pagi. Joget Dangkung is a shared coastal communal dance practiced amongst Singapore's Southern Islands and the Riau Archipelago.

Galleries are opened till 2am. Last entry: 1.30am

Join us in the MHC Galleries as we bring it to life with poetry and songs by young poets. This is also a chance for visitors to experience the MHC galleries after-hours, and enjoy the narratives in a quieter and cozy setting.

Be enthralled by the colourful projection mapping on the Istana façade by Meja Conteng and The Fox, The Folks Projection. This collaboration will tell the tales of Sang Kancil, our very own witty and wise mousedeer.

Enjoy a curation of classic Malay films and short films under the city lights and learn more about Singapore identity and life through these stories. Look out for classics like Sultan Mahmood Mangkat Dijulang, Nenek, Kickers and Bangkit. Listen to selected filmmakers talk about their works too!
